
This book, THE 1928 EASTONIAN, was published by the Students of EAST HIGH SCHOOL located in KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI. Editor-in-Chief was BETTY MANLEY and Business Manager was GEORGE CARTER. The yearbook measures 11" X 8" and contains 182 pages. Pages are printed on quality yearbook paper and the pages are all tight in the binding. Pages 163-182 have some water marks along the page margins and several pages have been stuck together along that margin. Covers are soft gray paper laminated to heavy board with the yearbook name and year of issue embossed into the front cover. The quill of a writing pen is also blind embossed into the front cover. Endliners are printed with scenes from 1928, Clown Faces, an Artist Pallet, Tennis and Golf Equipment, Books, Music symbols and Chemistry Instruments. Front and back hinges are cracked but still bound to the covers and pages. Back cover has a nick along the opening edge.
Quoting from the Foreword: " To keep alive and growing the spirit of ’28, we place in your hands the EASTONIAN, a mirror of the EAST HIGH SCHOOL. May the memories of pleasures and achievements bound herein ever grow more dear with passing time."
The yearbook is dedicated to: "That eternal spirit, Youth, which fires the world with its enthusiasm; which inspires all nations with its ideals; which leads the search for the unknown; which amazes all with its courage and determination, and which is bringing a higher and worthier civilization to the world, to this elusive, indomitable Youth we dedicate this book."
